Alta Via WOW! Every twist and turn of the trail elicited an outburst of “wow!” The scenery is stunning, the mountains are dramatic, and the huts are comfortable. Highlights of the beautiful local-ish trails! Mt Rainier - Box Canyon to Indian Bar 14.5 mi, 4900 ft gain, 5.5 hrs With Danie and Julia Two marmots with Mt Rainier in the background. Fun flowy section of the Wonderland Trail. We saw a few people who were finishing up the trail. They all told us this was the best section.
